Parusuram and Naga Chaitanya were supposed to do a movie in 14 Reels Plus banner. The movie was announced amidst massive expectations. However, it all got derailed as Parasuram got the opportunity of directing Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Naga Chaitanya himself suggested using this opportunity of working with Superstar Mahesh Babu and decided to collaborate on their project right after this.
After Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Parsuram looked for other big opportunities and tried to do a film with Balakrishna putting Naga Chaitanya on hold. This apparently created angered Chaitu. During the custody promotional interview, directly expressed this by saying Parsuram wasted his time and he doesn’t even want to discuss the issue as it’s just a waste of his time.
Naga Chaitanya is busy with the promotions of his upcoming project Custody set to release on May 12th. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the bilingual film’s recently released trailer was well received and the unit is confident of its success. Custody also stars Aravind Swamy, Keerthi Shetty, Samapthat Raj, Sarathkumar, Priyamani, Premji, Vennela Kishore, and Premi Vishwanath in key roles. Ilaiyaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music.
Custody is a bilingual action thriller shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and is bankrolled under Sreenivasa Silver Screen banner.
