The biopic of the legendary Sri Lankan bowler Muthiah Muralitharan, titled 800 released last month amidst positive reviews. The film was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi but failed to draw the audience to the theatres, and was a box-office failure.
800 will now be making its digital premiere soon and it will be free! The film will have a free streaming on Jio cinema from 2nd December in all languages. The official announcement has been made. The decision to stream the movie for free will surely attract more audience on OTT and it will now reach a wider audience.
Madhur Mittal, renowned for his role in Slumdog Millionaire, played the titular lead role in 800 that has been directed by MS Sripathy. Produced by Vivek Rangachari under Train Motion Pictures and distributed by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. The film’s music is composed by Ghibran and talks about the struggles undergone by Muthiah Muralitharan.
