Mufasa The Lion King joins the 100 Cr Net Club in India. Made as a sequel to the Lion King (2019), Mufasa was released in theaters worldwide on December 20, 2024. The film received average reviews, but it is having a good run at the theaters.

Mahesh Babu dubbed for the titular character, Mufasa in the Telugu version. Mufasa becomes the 14th Hollywood film to join the 100 Cr net club in India. On Christmas day the film joined the 100 Cr club. The film’s English, Telugu and Tamil versions performed very well, but the Hindi version disappointed a bit. Overall, it was a good performance for the film at the Indian box office. The trade expects Mufasa to collect in the range of 150 Cr in its full run. Mufasa The Lion King joins the 100 Cr Net Club in India.

Backed by Walt Disney Studios, the Hollywood musical drama is directed by Barry Jenkins. Mahesh dubbed his voice for Mufasa in while Satyadev dubbed his voice for Taka/Scar. Ali, Brahmanandam, Shaking Sheshu and Ayyappa P Sharma dubbed for other crucial characters in the film. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan dubbed his voice for Mufasa’s character in Hindi.
