Story: Madhusudan Rao (Naveen Chandra), and Lekha (Swathi Reddy) both love each other and tie the knot to move their relationship to the next level. After marriage, Madhusudan turns alcoholic and irresponsible. Lekha decides to leave him by seeking divorce from him after a brief period of vexed behavior. Is there a strong reason for Madhusudan Rao turning to alcohol? What is the reason for Lekha seeking divorce from Madhu? What was the main reason behind Madhu’s stubborn behavior? What is the role of Madhumathi (Shreya Navile) in the entire context? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Performances: Naveen Chandra was believable in the role of an alcoholic. The way he shows his anger looked authentic. Swathi Reddy’s performance and screen presence are highly commendable. She excelled at carrying two dimensions of her role. Shreya Navile was good while Viva Harsha, Manjula Ghattamaneni, and, among others, performed well in their roles.

Positives:

  • Performances
  • Few Gripping Scenes
  • Dialogues at places

Negatives:

  • Convoluted Script
  • Lack Of Strong Characterizations
  • Haphazard Narration

Verdict:

Month of Madhu could have been a refreshing emotional drama, but the lack of a clear narrative and proper characters derail the impact of the movie. It has a few intense and gripping moments, but apart from that the film looks like an irregular outing.
