Meher Ramesh is returning to the direction in Tollywood after a decade. His last film Shadow was a massive disaster and he kept away from helming any big projects until he landed Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar. This is a huge opportunity for the director to land a hit as it has an in-form Megastar in lead. However, it seems that the director is repeating the same mistake that he did with his earlier movies.
Meher Ramesh has a name in the industry that he always plans a certain budget but by the end of the shooting, the real budget is way higher than the planned budget. Billa, Kantri, Shakti, and Shwadow, all these movies faced the same situation and put a huge burden on producers and buyers.
Now he is working with Megastar Chiranjeevi on Bhola Shankar and the scale of the movie is pretty simple. This is a remake film that needs some basic commercial elements only. But, even for a routine subject, he reportedly is wasting crores of money and has already exceeded the planned budget. Some shooting parts are still pending and now the team is also planning for an item song which is expected to extend the budget. For the record, Vedalam didn’t feature an item song and this is an addition to Bhola Shankar.
