Mega Star Chiranjeevi who made his come back to films with Khaidi No150 is now on a rush signing for his upcoming films. After SyeRaa, Chiru teamed up with director Koratala Siva for Acharya which will be releasing next year.
As per schedule, Acharya was planned to release on August 14th but due to the Corona virus outbreak, the shooting has been halted. During the lockdown, Chiranjeevi has announced that he will be teaming up with directors like Sujeet (Saaho fame), Bobby and Meher Ramesh for his upcoming projects. But recently as per industry reports Lucifer remake which was to be directed by Sujeeth was kept on hold and looking for other directors.
While story discussions are still going on with director Bobby the latest news is that Mega Star Chiranjeevi will be teaming up with Director Meher Ramesh to remake Ajith’s Vedalam in Telugu. As per our sources, the remake rights of this film are with Anil Sunkara and they are planning to produce this film under AK Entertainments along with Konidela Productions. Official announcement is likely to be made on August 22nd on the occasion of Chiru’s 65th Birthday. Vedalam is a 2015 released mass entertainer which stars Ajith, Lakshmi Menon, Sruthi Haasan in lead roles and directed by Shiva.
