The Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections are going to be a heated affair this time around. The elections will take place on October 10. The contest is going to be an interesting one this time around considering the fact that Manchu Vishnu will be facing Prakash Raj.
Prakash Raj has already confirmed his candidacy and has given multiple interviews about the elections. Vishnu has got support from the Naresh group. Actor Naresh is the current president of the association.
Apart from the duo, Jeevitha, Hema, and CVL Narasimha Rao are also contesting the elections. The election will commence on the 10th of October. The Jubilee Public School will host the election, while the election houses were fixed from 8 AM to 2 PM.
The nominations would be allowed between September 27 to 29. The received nominations will be scrutinized on the 30th of this month. The candidates can withdraw their nominations on October 1-2 till 5 PM. After this, the final list of the candidates will be out on October 2. The election result will be announced on the same date of the election, October 10.
The guidelines mentioned in the election notification say that one candidate should run the elections for a single post and running the elections for multiple posts will not be entertained. The candidate will not be eligible to run the elections if he/she is an executive member in the previous committee and if they didn’t have attended less than 50 percent of EC meetings.
The candidates cannot run the polls if the office bearers of the Department Associations won’t resign from their respective posts.
