Tamil actor Manikandan has created a good market in Tamil and got good recognition in Telugu thanks to the success of Good Night. The film has managed to do a great job on its OTT premiere on Disney + Hotstar. And now, all eyes are on the OTT streaming of his recent film Lover.
Lover was released along with Lal Salaam, managed to impress the audience, and emerged as a hit at the TN Box office. On its release, Lover opened to positive reviews from fans and
critics alike. The film was praised for its realistic portrayal of modern relationships and raw emotions. The performances of Manikandan, Gouri Priya, and Kanna Ravi were also hailed by crtitics
Lover was released in Telugu as ‘True Lover’ by SKN and Maruthi but failed to create an impact despite of positive reviews. The film will stream on Disney Hostar from 27th March in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
Directed by Prabhuram Vyaas, ‘Lover’ features Manikandan, Gouri Priya, and Kanna Ravi in the main roles, and the film has music scored by Sean Roldan. The film is backed by Nazareth Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan under the banner of Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment. The banner previously produced the 2023 film Good
Night which also starred Manikandan in the lead.
