Director Vikram Kumar is one of the most experimental directors in mainstream Telugu cinema. He has never stuck to the template of commercial movies with multiple fight scenes and hero introduction shots and so on.
Vikram has also been very keen on telling every story in extreme detail. Owing to this, most of his movies always have a very lengthy run time. Whether it was the science fiction 24 Movie, Nani’s Gang Leader, or Manam, all these movies have had long durations.
Now, with Thank You, Vikram had originally locked the runtime at 2 hours and 45 minutes. Thank You, being the complete journey of one person there is no surprise that Vikram wants to take his time with the story.
But, the team felt that the runtime was very long for a non-mass film and has decided to tone it down. The team has come to the decision of cutting the time to just 130 minutes, by trimming about 45 minutes of the film.
It is to be seen whether this decision from the makers will save or break the film. Coming to the cast, Raashi Khanna, Avika Gor and Malavika Nair also feature in this coming-of-age story. Thaman S is the music director of the film.
