The trailer of Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger was launched in a grand manner today at Hyderabad’s Sudarshan theatre, with thousands of Vijay fans gracing the event. The trailer of Liger has blown up on the internet and has amassed 3M+ views in just 1 hour across all languages.
Vijay said that even though he is an outsider in the film industry, the audiences have showered him with love. He also spoke about how he still receives support from his fans even though his last venture World Famous Lover was a failure at the box office. “You guys are celebrating the launch of the Liger trailer like a festival,” he added.
“All I can say is I.. I.. Love… You, I… Love… You. As I promised earlier, India will shake on August 25th” he concluded. It is common for heroes to make huge promises and talk about their fans during such events but this alone is not enough.
The trailer of Liger has been getting mixed responses, if not negative. There seem to be more negatives than positives in the film. Vijay looks amazing in the trailer and his body is ripped but, is that enough?
The dialogues in the film seem lazy, the stammering seems unnatural and most of the scenes come across as unnecessarily loud. In addition to that, director Puri Jagannadh is not in the best of form. His only hit in the last decade is Ismart Shankar, which was critically bashed as well.
However, this is just the trailer and one cannot judge a book by its cover. The film also stars Ananya Pandey, Ramya Krishna, and Mike Tyson in a cameo. Puri Jagannadh has also produced the project along with Karan Johar and Hiroo Yash Johar.
