‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s upcoming action entertainer Leo is one of the most anticipated Kollywood movies of the year. There are massive expectations for this project, especially considering Lokesh Kanagaraj’s unbeaten run at the box-office. If the film manages to get a decent talk, trade experts are estimating Leo to beat Lokesh’s previous blockbuster, Vikram.
Leo has already established several records even before its release. The overseas bookings are amazing and domestically as well, audience can’t wait to catch a glimpse of Thalapathy back in a Lokesh film.
All the areas are getting sold at never before prices. So far, only one film has collected 100Cr share in TN and that film is Ponniyin Selvan 1. And astonishingly, Leo Tamil Nadu rights have been sold at Ponniyin Selvan 1’s closing numbers or even more. The trade has huge expectations on this combo and the trailer which will be released this week will totally set the hype for a massive release day on October 19th, 2023.
Another highlight of the movie is the return of the Vijay-Trisha combo after 15 long years. The duo last worked together in Kuruvi (2008). Leo is also a second collaboration between Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after Master. The film further features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautam Vasudev Menon, and Sandy in key roles with Anirudh Ravichander composing the tunes.
