Legendary Music Director Ilayaraja and Blockbuster writer Vijeyandra Prasad are nominated for RajyaSabha. The Government of India has suggested the names of both Ilayaraja and Vijeyandra Prasad. After nominating both of them on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took it to Twitter to congratulate all the nominees.
He congratulated Bahubali writer Vijeyandra Prasad and tweeted- Shri V. Vijayendra Prasad Garu is associated with the creative world for decades. His works showcase India’s glorious culture and have made a mark globally. Congratulations to him for being nominated to the Rajya Sabha.”

Vijeyandra Prasad is one of the top writers in Indian film industry. He penned stories for Bahubali series, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and many more films. Ilayaraja is one of the most prominent music director with a career spanning for over five decades. He gave music for more than 1500 movies and 8500 songs as well. He received Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan as well as five national awards.
