The romantic drama, which was released in 2001, became a huge trendsetting blockbuster at the time, bringing a cult following to Pawan Kalyan among the audience. Producer AM Ratnam also stated that it is not a one-day release, and they will try to fill the shows in the gap between the new releases.
The film has set new benchmark when it comes to re-releases and has surpassed Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa records by a comfortable margin. In Nizam, the film has collected 1.63Cr gross and in Ceeded it is 45L. In Andhra (6 Territories) the overall gross is of Rs1.5Cr.
If we consider the overall Telugu states, the film has collected approx 3.6Cr gross and from the Rest of India and overseas, the movie has collected around 50L. Overall Kushi re-release’s 1st-day gross is 4.1 Cr which is a stunning figure.
