Kushi, the latest romantic family entertainer, was released on September 1St amidst a good hype. The film received a relatively positive talk from the audiences and the reviews by the critics were also good. However, after a good performance at the box office for 3 days, the film could not continue the same run.
Despite posting decent and good numbers on the first weekend, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha’s Kushi saw a drastic drop on the weekdays. The trade anticipated that it would gain momentum during the second weekend. The positive reviews of new releases like SRK’s Jawan and Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty have led to a decrease in Kushi’s shows and theaters.
With getting bad and poor collections on the 2nd weekend. Kushi the film is likely to settle at a below-average status and a high loss venture in Andhra Pradesh. Recovery wise, Kushi has definitely done a bit better compared to Vijay Devarakonda’s previous films, but still, his search continues for a perfect successful film.
Kushi also stars Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Pradeep, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles. It is a pan-India release with it hitting the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Fans were eager to catch Vijay in a romantic role after a long time and with Samantha’s presence, there was greater curiosity as to how this pair will look on screen, but Shiva Nirvana’s narration and the film’s dip in tempo in the second half made the audience feel detached.
