Chandramukhi which was released in the year 2005 and created many wonders at the box-office not only in Tamil Nadu but also in Andhra Pradesh. A few months ago sequel for this horror film has been announced and pre-production works are going on in full swing.
Director P. Vasu who directed Chandramukhi will be directing its sequel too. Choreographer cum actor Raghavan Lawrence will be roped in for this much-awaited sequel. Even Lawrence confirmed that he is very happy for being part of this project where he will be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth. There were many actress names that were being considered for the lead actress as this film is having space for 3 lead actress.
From the past few days, news has been going viral that Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has been locked as lead actress for this sequel. Responding to the news Lawrence confirmed that they have not confirmed anything about the lead actress yet and there is no truth about Kiara being roped. Chandramukhi2 will be going on sets in the first half of 2021 which is being produced by Sun Pictures.
