Although Karthi is a Kollywood hero by name, this talented hero has established a market in Telugu as well and his movies are doing well in both languages. He is gradually increasing the market by releasing each of his films in Telugu as well.
Karthi recently came to the Tamil and Telugu audience with the movie ‘Sardar’. It got huge collections in both languages. Karthi starrer ‘Sardar’, which was released along with Siva Karthikeyan’s ‘Prince’ has won the audience and entertained them with its unique concept dwelling with enough commercial elements.
Sardar had an excellent 2nd weekend at the box office and the movie crossed the 40 crores mark in Tamil Nadu. Also, it crossed the 80 Crores mark gross worldwide. The film is continuing its good run at the box office and now heading toward the 100Cr mark and a has a high chance to be the solo career highest of Karthi by crossing his previous highest movie Khaidi(103Cr).
The film didn’t have many expectations before its release but after watching it everyone loved it. From the first day, Sardar got good talk and it reflected in the collections at the box office.
Sardar also got his sequel movie announced and it is being said that it will go to sets in a few months. Interestingly, all movies in which Karthi is going to act next are now sequels. Khaidhi-2, Ponniyin Selvan-2, and now Sardar-2 all are having good expectations among the audience.
‘Sardar’ is a movie directed by PS Mithran with Karthi in the lead role. Produced by S Laxman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures, the film stars Rajisha Vijayan and Rashi Khanna as heroines. Also, Chunky Pandey and Laila played pivotal roles. G V Prakash Kumar has given the music for this movie.
