Kamal Haasan’s Vikram is one of the most successful films in the history of Indian cinema and the most successful film in the Tamil Film Industry. Vikram was released amidst massive hype and the collections speak for itself. The film just grew bigger and bigger every day and became an all-time industry hit in Kollywood.

With Vikram, Kamal made a grand comeback into the world of mainstream films. He proved why he is known as the ‘Ulaganayagan’ with Vikram becoming a smash hit not only in Tamil Nadu but all over the world.

As the collections stand, here are the closing worldwide box office collections of Vikram.

Vikram collected a whopping record high 184 crores in gross in Tamil Nadu and 93 crores in shares. The film was hugely profitable in Tamil Nadu. This was followed by an outstanding showing in Kerala, with 40 crores in gross collections and 17 crores in shares. This was also due to Fahadh Faasil’s presence in the film.

Vikram also did outstanding numbers in Karnataka with 25 crores in gross and 12 crores in shares. The collections in the Telugu states did not disappoint either with 34 crores in gross and 18 crores in share collections. Vikram collected 18 crores in gross and 8 crores in shares in the Rest Of India.

But the real stand-out territory for Kamal is overseas. Vikram garnered a mind-blowing 125 crores in gross collections in overseas markets. This translates to about 59 crores in shares, which also raked in massive profits for the US distributors.

Overall, the worldwide closing collections of Vikram are 426 crores in gross collections and 207 crores in shares.
