A few days ago it was reported that Kajal Agarwal is planning to move on to heroine oriented subjects. The actress has now confirmed her next project which will be exactly on these lines. She has signed up for a Bollywood film Uma which is touted as a slice of life film.
Bollywood Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh announced the development and posted the details of the project. Kajal. confirmed the development and retweeted the same with the caption, ” Looking forward to commencing Uma’s journey.”
Ad filmmaker Thathagata Singha will direct the film and the Miraj group will bankroll it. The actress is currently busy wrapping up Acharya. She has also signed up for Indian 2 opposite Kamal Haasan, the filming of which is currently on hold.
The film will go on floors later this year or early next year keeping in mind the corona situation. Meanwhile, the other cast and crew members of Uma will be announced in the coming week by the makers.
“Very happy to be collaborating with AVMA Media, Avishek Ghosh, and director Tathagata Singha, on an extremely interesting film titled Uma. I look forward to commencing the shoot as soon as the situation around us gets better,” Kajal said in a statement
