The recent IT raids on Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers’ homes and offices have derailed the shoot of Pushpa 2 slightly. A team of I-T officials from New Delhi also conducted searches at the residences of promoters of Mythri Movie Makers, including Cherukuri Mohan, Erneni Naveen and Yalamanchili Ravishankar, in Jubilee Hills.
The production house is being probed for allegedly violating investment restrictions by bringing in funds from abroad twice in less than four months after December 2022. Since Sukumar is also associated with the movie as a producer through Sukumar Writings, he was also probed.
There have been rumours that a producer is involved as a sleeping partner in the production house. The IT department continuously investigated and raided for 4 days and completed their probe yesterday. The team of IT officials reportedly found nothing illegal in any transactions. It looks like the producer and director are clean and every transaction is transparent.
Pushpa 2 will transcend the boundaries and will have an international backdrop where Allu Arjun will be pitted against all odds. Rashmika Mandana will be back as Sri Valli while Fahadh Faasil will have a meatier role in Pushpa 2 as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and his character will surprise one and all. Jagapathy Babu has also been roped in for this pan-India biggie.
