It is well-known that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and the maverick director Shankar are collaborating on ‘Indian 2’, which is a sequel to the duo’s two-decade-old blockbuster. The iconic ‘Senapathi’ character, the freedom fighter and vigilante hunted by authorities, will be reprised by the actor.
Earlier, there were rumors coming about the film that it will be released in two parts. However, the team cancelled the two-part release and now decided to release in one part only. The team is also said to have confirmed the release plans. Reportedly the film is being planned to be released on the Independence weekend 2024.
So it is almost certain that the film, Indian 2 will be out during the August 15th weekend 2024, which is touted to be the most expensive film in Kamal Haasan’s career. The star cast also includes Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others with the late actors Vivek, Nedumudi Venu and Manobala.
