Surya’s Jai Bhim is one of the thought-provoking movies that were released last year. The movie discusses about various things like caste based discrimination and touches other important points. This court drama story inspired Surya so much that he produced the movie apart from just being a part of it along with his wife Jyothika.
The movie was released on Amazon Prime directly and received a lot of accolades.
However, Vanniyar Community group called as Rudra Vanniyar Sena has raised an issue about Surya’s Jai Bhim and filed a case against the team. They think that their community has been shown in the bad light in entire movie.
They took this to the court. The group filed a compliant against the team in Chidambaram district. The case was then forwarded to High court in Chennai. The high court has went over the arguments and finally decided to let the team go off. As the movie is all about fictional characters, there is no point in holding the team against it.
