Megastar Chiranjeevi’s God Father movie has been released worldwide on October 5. Obvious that the title role is done by Chiranjeevi and it also has Salman Khan in a special guest role. God Father is a political action drama that is a remake of the Malayalam Super hit movie Lucifer. Mega fans who have been eagerly waiting to see their favorite hero on the big screen thronged to the theaters on the first day of the movie’s release in Telugu states.
God Father received a very good talk and reviews. And footfalls are also have been fantastic for the two days since its release. But the numbers at the Box Office did not reflect the footfalls. On the first day, the movie collected a share of 13 crores in the Telugu States, which is not a big achievement for a hero like Chiranjeevi who is hailed as a Megastar.
Most of the audience and some industry circles are saying that God Father has a low opening because it is a remake film, also some are pointing out that after Corona pandemic the audience is not interested to watch remakes. Which is partially true.
But if you see Pawan Kalyan’s last two films, they both are remakes but openings were super sensational for both movies. This proves Stardom can bring the audience to the theaters even if they are remakes. And a section of people is saying that God Father movie’s collections prove that Pawan Kalyan’s stardom is miles ahead of Chiranjeevi’s stardom now.
Directed by Mohan Raja, the film also stars Nayanthara, Puri Jagannadh, Satyadev, Murali Sharma, Sunil, Brahmaji, Samuthirakani, and Tanya Ravichandran. God Father movie is produced by Chiranjeevi’s son and actor Ram Charan under their home banner Konidela Production Company in association with Super Good Films. Thaman is the music director for the film and it also has Nirav Shah’s cinematography and Marthand K Venkatesh’s editing.
