Dhruva Natchathiram release issues continue to persist, as director Gautham Menon has approached the Madras High Court seeking an additional 30 days to release the film. Despite the court’s earlier permission, the director is unable to meet the June 15, 2026 deadline.
Extension Application Filed
The application, seeking an extension until July 15, 2026, is expected to be heard by Justice K. Kumaresh Babu on Monday. On the same day, a Division Bench comprising Justice P. Velmurugan and Justice K. Govindarajan Thilakavadi is also expected to pronounce orders on related appeals.
Court’s Previous Order
Earlier, the Madras High Court permitted the release of Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram in theaters on or before June 15, 2026, subject to strict financial conditions to resolve pending creditor disputes. The film's release has faced a multi-year delay primarily due to massive debt and unresolved financial disputes with investors.
The film, starring Chiyaan Vikram, has been in production for several years and was expected to finally hit theaters this month. However, with Gautham Menon approaching the court for more time, the release of Dhruva Natchathiram has been stalled once again.
