Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is not in a mood to slow down at the box office. Made as a sequel to Gadar (2001), the film was released on August 11th along with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2. The trade had expected the film to get good numbers at the box office because of the sequel craze, but no would have imagined the film creating history and having such a stupendous performance of the film.
Thanks to a wonderful response from the masses, Gadar 2 has become unstoppable at the box office as it crosses the 300Cr mark on the 8th day and created history, and it is the 1st Bollywood film to collect more than 20Cr net on the 2nd Friday in Hindi belts. The trade is expecting that the film will break all-time record and cross Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel who continue in their roles from the first part, while Utkarsh Sharma Simrat Kaur and Manish Wadhwa are the new additions to the cast.
The story of Gadar 2 shows the journey of Tara Singh who is on a mission to save get back his son to India, who has stuck in Pakistan.
