For a few days now, there have been rumors floating around regarding the postponement of Chiranjeevi’s Godfather movie. Fans of Chiranjeevi were worried about whether Godfather will opt for a different release date or come to theatres on October 5th.
The rumors largely arose due to the lack of any promotional content from the makers. After the trailer of the film, the makers did not release anything else to create any excitement among the fans. Looking at the lack of promotions, Mega fans were forced to believe that Godfather would be postponed.
In addition to that, Ponniyin Selvan is also releasing on 30th September which might affect the collections of Godfather. Moreover, Nagarjuna’s Ghost is also releasing on October 5th. Keeping all of this in mind, people assumed the worst scenario.
But now, the producer of Godfather NV Prasad has come forward and said that these rumors are baseless. He has assured the fans that Godfather will release on October 5th at any cost. He also added that the promotions will be kickstarted very soon.
Godfather is an official remake of the Malayalam industry hit Lucifer. Godfather also stars Sathyadev, Nayanthara, Murali Sharma, and Samuthirakani among others. Mohan Raja is the director of the film and the music is by Thaman S.
