Actors Nikhil Siddhartha, along with Priyadarshi, participated in a program organized by the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau against drug abuse and drug trafficking yesterday. City Police Commissioner C V Anand and several police officers were also present on the occasion. Hero Nikhil revealed at the event that many times before entering films, few people offered him to take drugs at the parties.

But Nikhil said he didn’t take it. He said that films like Happy Days and Karthikeya Series would have been possible if he had got addicted to drugs. He further added that even after getting into the industry, few people forced him to take drugs at the parties, but he did not oblige. Nikhil stated that parents should also be careful of their children and take care of them. Everyone should stay away from drugs. If you get used to narcotics, it is the same as death. Nikhil said that Students have a lot of future ahead, and they can go to parties, have fun, but should not take the drug. “I want a drug-free Telangana soon,” he said.

Actor Priyadarshi said he is happy that the Narcotics department is doing such an awareness program for students. There is a need for transformation among students as well. He saluted to the narcotics wing police.

Hyderabad Commissioner CV Anand also talked on the occasion. “The Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau was launched a few days ago. Drugs have become a big problem in today’s society. In India, 11.50 crore people are addicted to drugs. Drugs are being smuggled here in various ways from Afghanistan and Pakistan. Cybercrime and narcotics are two major issues. Many students are addicted to drugs. There has to be a change in the students through this transformation programme. Everyone should cooperate with the police in eradicating drugs,” he said.
