Kannada blockbuster Kantara added another feather to its cap on Monday. With Monday’s collections, the film has now crossed 200cr mark at the box office and there is no stopping for this film as it is still going strong with housefuls in all languages. The Telugu version has collected 30Cr gross so far and the Hindi version has collected around 27Cr by Monday.
Tamil and Malayalam combined together have collected around 7Cr. Overall other versions’ gross is 65Cr and from Karnataka, this small-budget action thriller has collected more than 115Cr gross. The overseas market has also shown some phenomenal numbers and overall the movie has collected 200Cr gross by Monday.
Looking at the trends, it will surely do 250Cr in the coming days and there are even chances for 300Cr business if the same momentum continues.
Directed by Rishab Shetty who acted in the lead role as well, this small film has done the unthinkable by getting extraordinary reviews and box-office records both at once. Very few films have achieved both.
