Mohanlal’s Empuraan is achieving many big milestones for Mollywood. Because it was a sequel, the trade expected it to gather massive numbers at the box office, and the film is doing well. Empuraan creates history as it becomes the first 100 Cr share film in Mollywood.

Even though Manjummel Boys collected 240 Cr gross, it did not achieve a 100 Crore share due to the difference in terms with the distributors, and especially it received huge numbers in Tamil Nadu, and their share percentage was low. So, it failed to join the 100 Cr share club.

L2: Empuraan collected around 235 Cr gross worldwide for 8 days, and the share will be more than 100 Cr. In Kerala, the film has collected more than 30 Cr share and around 60 Cr share from overseas. The rest of India’s share will be more than 10 Cr.

Mohanlal is the one who opened the 100 Cr gross club for Mollywood, and now he himself has achieved the 100 Cr share club with Empuraan, and with today’s collections, the film will also beat Manjummel Boys (240 Cr) and will become the new industry hit.
