ED summons actress Rakul Preet singh on drugs related money case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has called for Rakul Preet Singh in a drugs-related money-laundering case. This is the second time that the agency has summoned the actress in relation to this case.

The central agency is examining a supposed money-laundering matter attached to a narcotics’ case that contains representatives of the south film industry, transmitted across Hyderabad, officials reported.

The department, which has questioned other members of the Telugu film industry in the case beforehand, has called her on Monday, they replied.

First, on September 3, the agency had interrogated Rakul Preet Singh. The ED started its investigation into this narcotic trafficking and consumption case in 2018.

Since the day it opened the inquiry, the department has suspected several Telugu celebrities, including Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandu, Tarun and Rana Daggubati of ‘Baahubali’ fame.

Earlier in July 2017, customs officers had taken over drugs worth Rs 30 lakh from composer Calvin Mascarenhas and two others.

The starlet, who was last seen with Ayushmann Khurana in ‘Doctor G’ will next be seen in ‘Chhatriwali’ and ‘Meri Patni Ka Remake’.

The 32-year-aged diva who hails from New Delhi established her career as a model when she was 18. She did her debut in film with the Kannada film ‘Gilli’ in 2009. After a pause, she gave her comeback to films in 2011 with Telugu film called ‘Keratam’.

After a row of Tamil and Telugu films, Rakul made her beginning in Bollywood with ‘Yaariyan’ in 2014. Over the times, the actress has performed in various outstanding films.
