Telugu audiences are likely to be disappointed, as reports suggest that Venkatesh has stepped away from the blockbuster Drishyam franchise, and the Telugu version of Drishyam 3 may not happen. It is already known that the Malayalam and Hindi versions have officially announced their release dates.

The Drishyam franchise is not only a big brand in Malayalam cinema but also a massive success in the Hindi and Telugu film industries. The Malayalam version stars Mohanlal, the Telugu version features Venkatesh, and Ajay Devgn plays the lead in the Hindi version.

No Update on Drishyam 3 Telugu Version: Rumors of it being shelved are circulating

In Malayalam, Drishyam 3 has been announced for release on April 2. The Hindi version is scheduled to hit theaters on October 2. But there is no official update or buzz yet regarding the Telugu version. Earlier, Venkatesh had confirmed that Drishyam 3 was part of his upcoming projects. But now, reports say that he is not doing the film for the time being.

Venkatesh is currently working on a film with director Trivikram. After completing this project, he is expected to team up once again with Anil Ravipudi, aiming for a Sankranthi release. As the official confirmation is not out yet, fans suspect that the third part of Drishyam will not be made in Telugu.

Since Drishyam 3 does not require many shooting days, there is still a possibility that Venkatesh could manage it between his other commitments. There was also speculation that the Telugu version might release at the same time as Mohanlal’s Malayalam version, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
