Sankranthi is considered a big season for the Telugu film industry, as the family audiences come in huge numbers to theaters during this season. Producer Dil Raju, who has been going through a lean patch for a while, has bagged a jackpot deal for Chiranjeevi’s next film, releasing on Sankranthi 2026.
Chiranjeevi has delivered blockbusters like Khaidi No 150 and Waltair Veerayya, which were released during the Sankranthi festival, and even for director Anil Ravipudi, it has been a golden season, as he delivered F2, Sarileru Neekevvaru, and Sankranthiki Vasthunam during that period.
Now, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which marks the first collaboration of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi, is getting released on Sankranthi 2026 with Venkatesh playing a crucial cameo.
MSG has already produced excitement among audiences due to the combination, and the Meesala Pilla song added much more buzz. The movie’s Nizam rights of Chiranjeevi’s next, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad, were bagged by Dil Raju for 32 Cr, which is a very reasonable business and will work easily as it is releasing on Sankranthi.
If the film gets good word of mouth, then it can easily do over 40 Cr share and can even gather more. But the only issue is many films are arriving this Sankranthi, including a pan-India biggie like The Raja Saab.
So, the screen count plays a big role during Sankranthi 2026. Along with MSG, Dil Raju also bagged Sithara Entertainments and Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju.
