Naga Shourya and Ritu Varma starrer Varudu Kaavalenu is gearing up for its release and the team recently released a special song from the movie. The song Digu Digu Digu Naaga featured Ritu Varma in folk attire and the actress has managed to impress the audience with her moves.
However, the movie unit has now faced fresh trouble over the song. Certain members of BJP Mahila Morcha have raised objections over the portrayal of the song. The members of the group have claimed that the makers have portrayed the Hindu religion in a bad light and the lyrics and visuals are objectionable.
A complaint has also been filed against lyricist Ananth Sriram in this matter in Hyderabad. The members of the BJP Mahila morcha have demanded immediate removal of Digu Digu Digu Naaga from the film as well as online media.
Ritu Varma’s dance and the groovy tunes have made this adaptation of famous folk song quite popular and have created a great buzz for the movie. Lakshmi Sowjanya is directing this romantic entertainer and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is bankrolling the project under Sithara Entertainments banner. It needs to be seen what steps makers take now.
