Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest film Dhamaka, a mass entertainer written and directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina, opened to a mixed response from reviewers on December 23. But with the exceptional support from mass audience the film is performing very well at the box office.

After having good day 1 and day 2, the film witnessed a big jump on Sunday and the numbers are bigger than the opening day which surprised the trade circles.

Dhamaka in its first weekend collected 5.5 Crores in Nizam, Ceeded – 2.4 Crores, Andhra – 5.2 Crores. Overall, in Telugu states the movie has collected around 13 Crores share and from rest areas the film has collected between 1.7 – 1.8 Crores.

Overall, the film’s Worldwide share will be close to 15 Crores, the theatricals are valued at 19 Crores and the recovery is close to 80% in 1st weekend which is sensational to say.

Although the film has a routine story with all the tropes of a Telugu commercial film, the director succeeded by giving it a formula packed presentation.

A few action scenes, songs and dances, along with the comedy, kept the audience entertained amid the otherwise predictable film. Ravi Teja’s trademark mannerisms, timing, dialogue delivery, and style are positive points for the film.

The movie stars actress Sreeleela as the female lead opposite Ravi Teja. Her energy and dances have enthralled the audience, and some of the public felt she dominated Raviteja in songs.
