Director Naveen breaks the silence, reveals the reasons behind the Devil Controversy. On the 29th of this month, the release date for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s movie ‘Devil’ is scheduled. At first, Naveen Medaram was the director, but later on, Abhishek Nama, who was the film’s producer, was given credit as the director. Director Naveen breaks the silence, reveals the reasons behind the Devil Controversy.

Naveen’s name is not mentioned by Hero Kalyan Ram in the promotions, and only Abhishek Nama’s name is heard. Director Naveen Medaram responded to the issue by releasing an open statement after remaining silent for while.

“I shot the entire film for 105 days in various locations like Karaikudi, Vizag, and Hyderabad (except for a few days of patchwork) making Devil truly my own creation,” he says.

He adds that the film belongs to Naveen Medaram, regardless of what anyone says. He said that the controversy was caused by a few careless decisions made with pure ego and greed.

Nevertheless, Naveen thanked Kalyan Ram for his contributions to the film. “I express my sincere gratitude to Kalyan Ram sir and everyone who supported me during this endeavor,” he wrote.

The Devil team is currently releasing a video interview of Abhishek Nama with all major technicians of the film, where they acknowledge him as the director.
