Vishwak Sen’s Das Ka Dhamki was released on Ugadi and has now achieved its breakeven mark. The film is a box-office success, giving him a much-needed hit. Das Ka Dhamki opened strongly on Day 1 and performed well domestically and overseas. The theatricals of the film were valued at 8 Crores and the surprising thing is that the movie recovered around 50% of the business on the opening day by collecting between 4 crores share.
Despite negative talk, the film has achieved a breakeven mark in all territories. The movie has collected in the range 8Cr share till now and while this is a great achievement, many felt the film was missed opportunity for the young hero.
If only the content was better then definitely this movie would have been a turning point in Vishwak Sen’s career as a commercial hero. Better execution would have brought in solid revenue as well as fame considering it was the most hyped movie and got recorded opening numbers for the hero.
Nivetha Pethuraj is the female lead, while Rao Ramesh and Akshara Gowda appeared in key roles in this film directed by the young hero himself.
