The makers of Balakrishna’s Dada have responded to the postponement buzz in the most direct way. In a fresh update, they have reaffirmed that the film is coming on December 24, as planned.
“As Promised, This Time It’s Christ-Mass”
The official Dada handle posted a new update with the release date front and centre:
“December 24th. First Single Dropping very very soon. As Promised, This time it’s CHRIST-MASS.”
The post came with a new still of Balakrishna in a rugged look, sitting with a rifle in what looks like an old police station.
Answer to the Buzz
The update comes after strong buzz in industry circles that Dada could miss its Christmas date. The reports said the shoot was set to continue into December, leaving very little time for post-production, and that the film might move to early summer.
With this post, the makers have made their stand clear. As of now, Dada is sticking to December 24.
First Single Coming Soon
The team also confirmed that the film’s first single is “dropping very very soon”. That signals that promotions are about to begin in full swing, which is another sign the makers are confident about the date.
A Race Against Time
The big challenge now is the timeline. With the release less than two months away, the team will need to wrap up the remaining shoot and finish post-production quickly. Balakrishna had resumed shooting in Mysuru in October after recovering from knee surgery.
Fans will be watching closely to see whether the team can pull it off.
Christmas Clash
If Dada sticks to its date, the Christmas box office will see a big clash. Nagarjuna’s landmark 100th film, King 100, is also releasing on December 24, setting up a Balakrishna vs Nagarjuna face-off for the festive season.
About Dada
Dada, earlier known as NBK111, is directed by Gopichand Malineni, who earlier gave Balakrishna the blockbuster Veera Simha Reddy. Balakrishna was introduced in the film as the “King of Chaos”.
