Corona postpones another film’s release

The much anticipated multilingual film Thalaivi which was supposed to be released on 24th April has become the latest victim Corona 2nd wave. A joint announcement was made regarding the same by the makers- Vishnu Induri, Shailendra Singh, and Zee Studios. The film’s release has been postponed indefinitely and a new date will be soon announced.

This biopic on 6 times Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Late J. Jayalalithaa was being made in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Starring Kangana Ranaut, Thalaivi is directed by AL Vijay. The biopic is produced by Vibri Media in collaboration with Karma Media And Entertainment.

The makers have not announced any new release date. “We are confident that we will receive as much love from you then as well,” said the statement issued. The movie also stars Aravind Swamy as MGR along with Prakash Raj and Bhagyashree in key roles. The trailer of the movie was launched recently to a positive response.

Thalaivi becomes the second movie in two days to postpone its release. Earlier on Thursday, the makers of Love Story held a press conference announcing the postponement of their movie’s release indefinitely.
