It’s raining re-releases in Tollywood. After Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri, Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa, the next in line is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Indra. Incidentally, there are even plans of screening Chiranjeevi’s Blockbuster Gharana Mogudu as well.
The news about Chiranjeevi’s Indra re-release was shared by film producers Vyjayanthi Makers on social media much to fans’ ecstasy.
While the exact date of the film’s screening has not been revealed yet, the news of the release has surely sent a wave of excitement among film lovers. Indra is an extremely special film not just for Megastar fans but for all sections of the audience.
Directed by B. Gopal, Indra featured Chiranjeevi, Sonali Bendra and Aarti Agarwal in the lead roles. On its release, this action entertainer became the highest grossing south Indian film of the time and ran for 175 days in over 30 centers and 100 days in 122 centers.
Aswini Dutt bankrolled this film under Vyjayanthi Movies. Chiranjeevi’s intense and massy performance, stylish dances, and Mani Sharma’s chartbuster music made fans go gaga back in 2002. Now, after 20 years, the celebrations will surely be a few levels bigger!
