Makers of Chiranjeevi starrer God father have confirmed and locked the film’s release date. The film would release during the Independence weekend. The film’s shoot is currently happening. They have also informed buyers to start the business. Chiranjeevi recent release Acharya went on to become the biggest disaster in Tollywood. He wants to deliever a blockbuster to make his fans happy.
Acharya starring himself and his son Ram Charan achieved a negative talk and didn’t go well with audiences and fans. The film has seen a loss of close to 90 crores. Makers and Chiranjeevi didn’t expect such a loss. Distributors too appealed money for compensation and wrote open letter to Chiranjeevi. He now wants to compensate them with his upcoming film, Godfather.
The lineup of Chiranjeevi is not good with two of his upcoming films being remakes. Godfather is a remake of Malayalam film, Lucifer. Bholaa Shankar is a remake of Vedhalam. Big ticket prices is also one of the main reasons for such flops. It has to be seen how these films would fare.
