Tamil actor Ponnambalam has been suffering from kidney problems for quite some time now. Ponnambalam had earlier also requested for financial help to him. Many gave Ponnambalam financial assistance, but it was not enough to meet his medical expenses. Now Ponnambalam has fully recovered and is back to normal.

In an interview on a YouTube channel, he said that it was because of Megastar Chiranjeevi garu that he got the treatment. Ponnambalam said that he will never forget the help of Chiranjeevi for the rest of his life. Ponnambalam took Chiranjeevi’s phone number through his friend, and informed him he was not feeling well and to help him as much as Chiranjeevi can.

Ten minutes later, Ponnambalam got a call from Chiranjeevi. Chiru asked him about the health condition and asked if he could come to Hyderabad and get treatment. Ponnambalam said he was not in a situation to come to Hyderabad. Then Chiranjeevi told him to go to Apollo Hospital in Chennai and assured him he will take care of the whole thing.

Ponnambalam said that at the hospital he was not even asked for an entry fee. They took care of the entire situation and treated him. Almost Rs 45 lakh was spent on the treatment. Ponnambalam became emotional saying that everything was because of by Chiranjeevi who is like an elder brother to him. Ponnambalam said that since the hospital belonged to Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana garu, they took better care of him.

Ponnambalam is a well-known actor in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films, famous for his portrayal of villainous roles. He has acted alongside prominent actors such as Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Vijay Kanth Kamal Haasan, Arjun Sarja, and Sarath Kumar, among others, and has earned a special place in the hearts of the Tamil audience.

Ponnambalam was also popular in Telugu, and he has a special bond with Chiranjeevi as he acted in films like Chiranjeevi’s Mugguru Monagallu, Gharana Mogudu, Mechanic Alludu and Hitler. Ponnambalam was one villain who looked cruel and terrifying on screen in the 90s.
