Jailer has performed better than Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar as we know both the films released in competition. But despite being a dubbed film, Jailer performed very well in Telugu states. So that might be the reason Chiranjeevi looks like frustrated and jealous of the success of Jailer.
Chiranjeevi discussed stopping traditional dances, fights, and elevating heroism by BGM at a recent media interaction, which would lead to money and comfort. Chiranjeevi acknowledged that it is not a practical idea, as he believes that the hero should be the main focus of the dances, fights, and physical effort, and BGM should not be the primary focus.
He underlined that everyone, himself included, won’t be content without his dances and fights. However, his mocking of BGM seemed to be directed towards Superstar Rajinikanth and his movie Jailer. Rajinikanth’s Jailer became a hit, in which he played a retired policeman and only had a few fight scenes.
The background music provided by Anirudh Ravichander elevated the scenes in the film to the next level. Rajinikanth even mentioned it during the recent success meet for Jailer. When Chiranjeevi mentioned BGM in a satirical way, everyone associated it with Rajinikanth’s words.
Definitely Bhola Shankar’s failure affected Chiranjeevi a lot and the main frustration for him was the film even could not bring minimum amount of audience to theaters. Maybe that’s why showing signs of jealousy and frustration on Jailer’s success.
