The movie will be streaming on Netflix from October 27. Chandramukhi 2 was released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. Directed by P Vasu, the film is a sequel to Rajinikanth’s classic movie Chandramukhi. Now OTT streaming date and release partner details have been revealed.
The sequel, which was released on September 28 at a pan-Indian level with Kangana Ranaut as the female lead and Keeravani’s music and Lyca Productions amidst massive expectations, but failed to repeat the magic of Chandramukhi. While the Tamil version had at least a decent opening weekend, the Telugu version was a disaster.
Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi film had the horror and thrilling elements which were missing in the sequel. Chandramukhi 2 stars Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon and Subeeksha in the lead roles. Chandramukhi 2 was leaked online even before the OTT release. It is interesting to note that the Tamil version has appeared on the HD print piracy site as well as on some social media platforms.
