Venky Atluri’s bilingual project Vaathi/ Sir is all set to release tomorrow. The film stars Dhanush and Samyukhta in lead roles and is releasing amidst positive reports. What needs to be seen is if Venky manages to break the jinx of the Telugu-Tamil combination.
For the past few years, Telugu director – Tamil hero or Tamil director – Telugu hero combinations have not worked at the box office. Spyder, The Warrior, Prince, and many more films failed at the box office. Even Vijay’s Varasudu failed to create any excitement in Telugu states. Now Venky Atluri and Dhanush have teamed up for Sir/Vaathi and it needs to be seen if their combo defies the usual results and scores a hit.
The film also stars Samuthirakani, Tanikella Bharani and P Sai Kumar play pivotal roles. Vaathi has music by GV Prakash and is produced by Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. Dhanush will be seen as a teacher in this film with Samuthirakani playing the negative role. The film’s recently released trailer received mixed responses but the inside talk on the film has been quite good.
