Simbu confirmed yesterday that his 48th film, ‘STR48’, will be financed by the Raaj Kamal Films International by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. They made the official announcement with a stunning video on social media, and the fans were very excited by the electrifying combo.
This movie is said to be made on a massive budget. The budget on the paper itself is 100 crores already, and it is also being said that it might go beyond that at the end of the shooting.
So, STR48 will be the most expensive project of Simbu’s career, to be directed by Desingh Periasamy from ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal’. The music director of this project has not yet been announced, but reports suggest that either Anirudh or AR Rahman will score the music. This project will be jointly bankrolled by Turmeric Media and Magizh Mandram.
More details on STR48 are awaited. The shooting of the movie will begin soon. On the professional front, Simbu has ‘Pathu Thala’ slated to hit the screens on March 30. He is currently in Thailand and will soon return to take part in promotions of Pathu Thala and will start working on STR48.
