Director Buchi Babu is currently on cloud nine following Uppena’s success. He is getting special praise for the way he dealt with emotions in the climax of Uppena. There was a touch of his guru Sukumar in the way he portrayed realistic emotions. He is currently on the watchlist of tier 1 heroes in Tollywood. He already met and narrated scripts to 3 top heroes, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR.
Now the buzz is that he is going to work with Jr. NTR after NTR completes RRR, film with Trivikram, and Prashant Neel film. The question that remains is whether Buchi Babu narrated the same story to all three heroes or whether he narrated different stories to MB, RC, and Jr. NTR. Mythri Movie Makers already gave him an advance for his next film so they might produce his next film. In recent interviews during Uppena promotions, he said that he has prepared a story for Top hero and he ready to team up. There is also news that the storyline will have an 80′ backdrop in the sports genre.
