During the recent song launch from Ashish Reddy’s new movie titled Selfish, producer Dil Raju had some very interesting things to share. The producer, who is known for his no-nonsense honesty, spilled some information regarding his new attempt for Selfish.

He is breaking the norm of picking one music director for an entire film. Instead, he is approaching different music directors to score the music for different songs. The song that was launched recently, Dil Kush, has been scored by Mickey J Meyer. But this is the only song credited to him in the film.

The music for the other two songs has been composed by Anup Rubens and Dil Raju is now looking to rope in another music director for the remaining songs. For people wondering, but why? His response was this, “I am trying to do something new in the Telugu Film Industry, with the rapport I have in the Telugu Film Industry.”

He further mentioned how he spoke to Sukumar, who has penned the script for the film, and that, Sukumar was very excited to hear this. As Sukumar said, this has been implemented many times before in Bollywood. It has worked for some films and has failed miserably for some other movies.

So, despite this being an interesting idea. It is important to understand that this is not something that will work for every movie. Because different music directors have different styles. And as they say, too many cooks spoil the broth.
