It is widely known that the movie, Sam Bahadur was released in theaters worldwide along with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Despite Animal’s storm at the box office, Vicky Kaushal’s film has collected 90Cr Net in India and more than 105Cr Gross in India and 125 Cr Gross worldwide.
Starting on January 26th of this year, Sam Bahadur will be streaming on Zee5, as per the update. Zee5 has acquired the rights to the action drama at a significant price, as reported.
Directed by Meghana Gulzar, the film Sam Bahadur is a Biopic of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, the first Indian Army officer to reach the rank of Field Marshal. In addition to Vicky playing Sam Manekshaw, the film also features Sanya Malhotra as his wife, and Fatima Sana Shaikh portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
On the first day, Critics had given the film mixed reviews, but Vicky Kaushal’s excellent performance received praise from many. It’s fascinating to see the film getting its due respect despite the competition with Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal.
