Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to enthrall the audiences with his upcoming mass entertainer Bhola Shankar. The film will be released on August 11th. With just 3 days gap for the film’s release, Bhola Shankar can not pick up the momentum in its advance bookings.
Even after the trailer of the film being released, the hype did not rise as expected. Many thought that after yesterday’s Pre release event and a new song release, the movie will get the required buzz, but still, the advance bookings are not picking, and the bookings are poor. Looking at the trend, Bhola Shankar is expected to open with numbers which are lower than the Godfather, which happen to be the least openings for Chiru after his re-entry. Many people are saying that the film, Bhola Shankar being a remake, is the reason for the low buzz. The director of the film, Meher Ramesh is also not much familiar to the moviegoers because his last directorial was released in 2013.
However, Chiranjeevi, in yesterday’s pre-release event, stated that he acted in ‘Bhola Shankar’ because he liked it, and he is sure that the audience will also enjoy it. Chiranjeevi said he was confused about the fact that many people are asking him why he has been doing remakes. “If there is a solid content and producers and actors take the opportunity to present it to the Telugu people, what is so wrong with that?” He said.
Chiranjeevi stated that unlike Lucifer, Vedhalam is not fully exposed because it is not available on any OTT platform. As a result, the producer informed Chiranjeevi that the movie would be more like a Telugu film. He also stated that Meher Ramesh developed a stylized version of Vedhalam. Finally, Chiranjeevi added that Meher has integrated all the elements that the public expects from his movie. But looking at the advance bookings, the mindset of audiences appears to be different.
