The re-release date of the film was announced on Tuesday. It was announced that the film will be re-released on August 5, 2023. The movie will be brought to the audience with 4K Ultra HD technology. The fantasy movie was released on April 14, 1994, and became the biggest hit. The film created a record by winning a total of 9 Nandi Awards.
Actor and writer Ravikondala Rao has written the story of Bhairava ద్వీపం which was loosely inspired by Patala Bhairavi starring Senior NTR. In the movie Bhairava Dweepam, Roja played the female lead opposite Balakrishna and Rambha appeared in a special song titled Naruda O Naruda. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s Bhairava Dweepam is the story of how a hero named Vijay saved the princess he loved from the clutches of an evil magician.
The film’s music was composed by Madhava Peddi Suresh, and the songs in the film impress the music lovers even today. One more interesting trivia about the film is that singers SP Balasubramanyam and S Janaki won nandi awards.
In 1994, Bhairava Dweepam won the Nandi Award for Best Film. Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth were the chief guests at the opening ceremony of Bhairava Dweepam. Meanwhile Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently working on ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ directed by Anil Ravipudi. The movie is slated to be released on October 19th as a Dasara gift. Balakrishna has also given a green signal for a movie with director Bobby.
