At the trailer launch event of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda had quite a bit to say. While it is common for actors to make huge promises and bold statements, Vijay’s statement blew up on social media.
While addressing the massive crowd at Sudarshan theatre in Hyderabad, Vijay was blown away by the sheer amount of people in the crowd. In view of that, he said, “You don’t know who my father is, you don’t know who my grandfather is, but you have still given me support.”
“I have had no releases in almost 2 years and my last film isn’t a great film either, but still you have come out to support me for Liger. Such a crowd for only the trailer launch event is something I never expected. Thank You.”
But this statement did not sit well with the netizens and they made it clear. People were quick to point out that every actor says the same thing nowadays. They stated that even though Ravi Teja has achieved star hero range he has never mentioned such things.
Notable producer Bandla Ganesh also decided to take a dig at Vijay. He posted a tweet regarding the same, which has now gone viral on social media.
Bandla Ganesh mentioned that one doesn’t need to have grandfathers or fathers, they need to have talent. Just take a look at actors like JR.NTR, Ram Charan, and Mahesh Babu, he concluded.
